Your Opportunity:

Discover a whole different way of nursing – and way of life – in Alberta Health Services’ expansive north zone. Imagine working to your full scope of practice, with a wide variety of patients and health conditions set against a wild and varied backdrop.

While some people see northern Alberta as being farther away from urban lifestyle, activities, and people, those in the know see it as actually getting closer. Closer to an expansive natural playground for all kinds of activities from hiking, biking, and horseback riding, to the thrill of ATV and snowmobiling. Closer to the northernmost reaches of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, wildlife, and unexpected hidden gems far from where tourists frequent. You can even grab a front-row seat for some of the best northern lights displays in Canada!

It’s not just the natural world that makes these communities special, either. Many enjoy thriving arts and cultural scenes, sports teams at all levels, and hobbyists doing what they love best. You don’t have to look far to find a setting that suits you – your personality and your lifestyle. Comprehensive benefits, health and dental coverage, and discounts through the corporate wellness program will help you and your family stay fit and healthy.

You’ll also find plentiful opportunity for growth and advancement, including internal and external professional development opportunities, leadership development, funding for further post-secondary courses, conferences and workshops. There are financial incentives in place to help you thrive: exploring our province, reaching your personal and professional goals, and more.
