Island Health is actively seeking Registered Nurses for the ER and ICU departments at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni.
Located on the central west coast of Vancouver Island, Port Alberni is a quaint and close-knit community. WCGH is a community hospital that boasts a positive culture and sense of community. The staff is supportive and it is easy to get to know everyone who works there. Services offers at WCGH include medical/surgical, inpatient care, gynecology, urology, general surgery, dentistry, paediatrics, ICU, Emergency, psych unit, rehabilitation and more.
Registration with the BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing RN registrant.
Recognized post-basic education required for clinical areas (or equivalent).
Basic Life Support, Level C required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room, ICU and Critical Care.
Two years of recent, related experience for critical care and speciality units (i.e. Emergency, ICU, O.R., P.A.R., Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry).
