As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll assume the role of Community Team Leader, overseeing medication administration, wound care, and resident assessments. Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from a recognized, post-secondary institution.
  • Member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Food Safe Certificate

About The Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Heights at Mt. View community in Baptist Housing, you’ll embrace a person-centred approach to care, contributing to comprehensive care planning and evaluating service delivery. Adhering to the highest standards of practice and ethics outlined by the BCCNM, your role will involve a diverse range of nursing interventions, from assessments to medication administration. You'll collaborate closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) for complex cases and consultations and, under the guidance of managers and RNs, implement wellness programs, fostering a positive environment for both teams and residents. You will also maintain meticulous resident charting and information using advanced systems like Point-Click Care and EMAR, ensuring accurate reporting of acute resident information to our RNs. As an ambassador of Baptist Housing, you’ll model our ministry values and demonstrate servant leadership by prioritizing the needs of others and maintaining positive relationships with residents, team members, families, and partners.Victoria ranks among the top twenty world cities for quality of life. While you serve all six of our Victoria seniors’ communities, your work location will be The Heights at Mount View, a seven-story, 260-suite long-term care community in Saanich.

Compensation & Benefits

The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development. Level 3 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $32.84-41.35
