Current and future regular full-time, regular part-time, temporary and casual opportunities for NICU Registered Nurses are available at these locations:

• Victoria General Hospital - Level 3 Tertiary Center
• Nanaimo Regional General Hospital - Level 2 Center

Qualifications:

• Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
• Basic life support, Level C for general duty Staff Nurse positions
• Graduate of a recognized Neonatal specialty nursing program
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate
• Breastfeeding Course Certificate (recommended)
• One (1) year recent related NICU experience; OR recent graduation of NICU Nursing specialty program

Skills & Abilities:

NICU Registered Nurses provide direct nursing care to newborns in the NICU setting of the hospital in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies; national, provincial, regional and local neonatal guidelines and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
