Established in 2018, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of British Columbia (NNPBC) was formed to bring a unified professional association voice of all BC nurses. The NNPBC focuses on strong, respected leadership, engaging members and recognizing the value of innovation. Their mission is to advance all nursing designations through advocacy, education and leadership. The NNPBC is working towards empowering the unified voice of nursing toward equitable access to health for all British Columbians.

Reporting directly to the Board of the Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of British Columbia (NNPBC) the Executive Director leads the Association’s strategic, funding and operational objectives. The Executive Director is also responsible building strategic partnerships and important relationships, to advance the Association’s goals, priorities and impact within the sector and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a politically savvy and astute visionary with a solid understanding of nursing and healthcare in British Columbia. The successful candidate will have a master’s level degree in health leadership, progressive management and leadership skills and experience as a nurse (with eligibility for membership with BCCNP). The role requires excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills along with demonstrated project and contract management skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
