Registered Nurse – Department of Medicine (various FTE available)

There are currently several nursing positions available for the Department of Medicine at Whangārei Hospital. There are 3 medical wards in Whangārei Hospital ward 12 – general medical, ward 14 general medical and renal focus, and ward 16 general medical and respiratory focus. Please note which ward you’re interested in in your cover letter.

These roles are for rostered duties 0700-1530, 1445-2315 and 2245-0715, 7 days a week. There are opportunities to increase hours if desired and for career progression via post graduate education and our professional development and recognition programme.

Key requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Current Practicing Certificate
  • Current PDRP
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Team player

Whilst medical experience is preferred, this is not essential as we will provide you with a comprehensive orientation and support to develop your skill set.
