The School of Health & Human Services is currently seeking an Instructor for our Practical Nursing program in Winnipeg.

 

Be Passionate. You will be an engaging and forward-thinking Instructor, ready to share your passion and knowledge of the nursing profession with our students in the Practical Nursing program. You will be technology savvy with a high interest in the integration of high fidelity simulation into nursing education. Enthusiasm that can be applied to classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising and related administrative duties is essential.

 

Take Initiative. You will be someone who loves to communicate and is ready to share your knowledge of the nursing profession with our students. You will demonstrate knowledge of the role of the practical nurse in various health care settings. Your comprehensive understanding of what takes to be a great nurse will be inspirational to our students and will contribute to or goal of creating unparalleled student experiences for our nursing students.

 

Deliver Results. You will have a valid nursing license, complimented with a relevant degree (Masters preferred) along with significant industry experience in both acute and long term care. You will be ready to deliver quality programming as a result of your highly developed communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Although not required, teaching experience in an adult environment is an asset. You will have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office with experience using Moodle being a benefit.
