Position: Full Time Registered Nurse Manager

Location: Williams Lake, BC

Hours: 40 hours per week

Wage: $85,000 to start – salary based on skills and experience

Summary:          

Axis is currently recruiting a Full Time Registered Nurse Manager for our holistic, community-based Withdrawal Management Program in Williams Lake, BC. The Manager (RN or RPN) will provide clinical expertise and guide a multi-disciplinary team of LPNs and Withdrawal Management workers from various disciplines. The role includes front line nursing care and leadership, coordinating logistics to deliver care in our 5-bed inpatient setting. Must be legally entitled to live in and work in Canada.

We are a small team who work closely together to offer a welcoming, safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental climate for individuals taking their first steps towards substance misuse recovery. All services offered in the program are evidence-based and client-directed to focus on building strength and resiliency in the person served. Services include recovery planning, regular monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, medication management, peer support, counselling, and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) when applicable

Education / Training / Experience:

• Management experience
• Mental health and substance use experience
• Graduation from an approved Registered Nursing Program
• Current registration with the - BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)
• Minimum 1 + year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience recognized by BCCNM

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
• Safe driving record, valid drivers licence reliable transportation, and 2 million ICBC insurance
• Computer literacy
• Pre-employment drug test
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioural challenges will also be considered an asset
