Position Summary
Interior Health Operating Room Registered Nurses work within a patient and family centered care model. We have a permanent, full time opening where work schedule is rotating Days and Evenings; on call requirements associated with position. What will you work on?
Royal Inland Hospital’s Operating Room Department runs 10 OR theatres offering the following surgical services: General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ortho, Ortho Trauma, and Trauma Services. As a member of the RIH Operating Room team, you will have circulating and scrubbing duties while coordinating and overseeing the overall care of the client.

How will you create impact?
Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) serves the City of Kamloops and outlying rural areas. A broad scope of patients are seen; there is a little bit of everything including pediatrics. Team members work closely together to meet the patients’ needs.

How will we help you grow?
Provide you with an extensive orientation to each of the surgical services, including general hospital orientation. A Clinical Nurse Educator is available to support practice. Weekly in-services are offered. Library Services to support patient care, education and research are available.

Qualifications
•Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCMN).
•Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of Peri-operative Nursing.
•One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
