Job title: EMERGENCY / INTENSIVE CARE NURSE
Community: WILLIAMS LAKE
Facility: CARIBOO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Status: PERMANENT FULL TIME

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Critical Care or Emergency nurse to become a member of our combined Emergency / ICU team.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a community hospital within Interior Health and plays an important role in meeting the healthcare needs of the people in the Williams Lake and surrounding areas. Because CMH is a rural site, our nurses do it all and receive a wide range of experience.

Currently the ED has one trauma room, a minor surgery room, five monitoring bays, a gyne room that is also the negative pressure room, a designated observation unit, a 5 bed respiratory isolation unit and a two-bay cast room. The HAU has 3 high acuity beds and one step down bed. Over the next 3 years the hospital will be undergoing a massive expansion to the ED, MHSU, OR, and Med/Surge wards as well as many of the support service areas. This growth will increase the depth, breadth and volume of services provided at the facility; along with this growth will come an increase in the number of specialty and non-specialty positions at the site.

Our ED sees approximately 21,000 patient visits a year and the staffing complement consists of a RN/LPN mix, ED Physician coverage 24/7 and on site internal medicine physicians. Our critical care department is also supported by critical care transport teams from BCEHS and the HART program. The hospital has a robust complement of anesthetic, surgical and OB/Gyne coverage. The ER Department is a tight knit group that works as an interdisciplinary team, have a great rapport and receive consistent physician support.

Interior Health offers a comprehensive benefits package and relocation allowance is available. For those requiring housing for relocation purposes, temporary housing is available.

Our benefits package includes:
