REGISTERED NURSE, COMPLEX CARE

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Acropolis Manor.

Care is provided using the Gentle Care Model. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of residents designed to meet their individual needs.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings - 06:45 to 14:45, 14:45 to 22:45

Acropolis Manor is composed of three units East Pod, North Pod and West Pod. All Pods are located on the main floor. There are 56 beds including three respite beds plus five short stay beds. Acropolis Manor is attached to Prince Rupert Regional Hospital through a covered link on one end. Downtown is minutes away and residents can access Handi-Dart and taxi services as needed. The Recreation Therapist who develops therapeutic and leisure interventions that are tailored to support the mental, physical, social and spiritual well-being of the residents who live at Acropolis Manor establish recreation opportunities.

Qualifications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Valid Level C CPR ticket. Good working knowledge of the English language.
• Experience in gerontology.
• Courses specific to dementia care from a recognized expert an asset.
• MDS training.

• Knowledge of other employee duties under your supervision.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
