Mills Memorial Hospital Replacement
We are building a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Terrace, BC, to address current and future patient care needs. At almost double the size of the existing facility (approximately 285,000 square feet), the new, acute care hospital and integrated services facility will be a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital will also be a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Build on your experience by:

  • Completing scrub nurse duties, circulating nurse, float nurse duties as assigned by Charge Nurse.
  • Providing care to assigned patients (adult & children) in the PACU as assigned.
  • Monitoring that the admission, assessment, treatment and evaluation of the care provided to all patients admitted to the operating suite/PACU.
  • Monitoring that documentation on unit and inpatient records is timely, accurate and concise, and in accordance with current hospital policy.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of all patient information, through application and enforcement of the hospital policy on confidentiality.

Your background includes:

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Post diploma certification in operating room techniques and procedures, or post diploma course in post-anaesthetic care nursing, CPNC (national perioperative certification) desirable OR
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and recent experience in O.R. and P.A.C.U.
  • Critical care skills an asset.
