$67,259.78 - $88,281.50 annually
 

RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia.


Nurse Case Managers are responsible for making determinations of individual’s medical fitness to drive or hold a driver’s licence for all classes of motor vehicles under the provisions of the Driver Medical Fitness program. The CCMTA Medical Standards with BC Specific Guidelines is the decision guiding tool used by RoadSafetyBC Nurses in rendering licencing decisions. The position provides advice to Intake Agents and/or Adjudicators on more complex cases and may review completed files to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation. Nurse Case Managers must independently exercise sound judgment, particularly in making decisions in the face of conflicting evidence. The job demands, initiative, discretion, and a wide spectrum of nursing knowledge. Qualifications for this role include:
 

  • Registered Nurse, eligible to practice nursing in the Province of British Columbia under the Registered Nurses Act.
  • Minimum of two (2) years assessing complex medical information as a Registered Nurse.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with:
    • Experience in making decisions consistent with the principles of administrative fairness.
    • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing.
    • Three (3) or more years experience appraising clients in a medical program environment.
