REGISTERED NURSE / REGISTERED PSYCHIATRIC NURSE – MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE USE


Exciting permanent opportunity available for a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the warm and caring team with the Mental Health Services teams in Cranbrook or Creston, BC.

 

We are seeking applicants with experience in mental health and substance use plus knowledge and experience in developmental disabilities. Developmental Disability Mental Health Services is an Interior Health tertiary mental health program that provides specialized mental health consultation and services to individuals 14 years and older who have both an intellectual developmental disorder and mental health disorder. Working in the assigned clinical area Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), the Registered Nurse provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Registered Nurse functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.

 

Qualifications

•             Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

•             Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

•             Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
