The UAH is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about caring for patients who require specialized acute care within a large and diverse Inpatient Pulmonary Unit. Supported by the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, the Nurse Practitioner has the opportunity to provide a holistic care approach to the patients on the unit in an exciting and fast paced setting. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for working within their scope of practice to provide care for patients including, but not limited to ordering diagnostic tests and medications, completing admissions, history and physical assessment on patients. Assisting with discharge planning, patient education and care planning.</p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications: </strong></p> <p>Current BCLS-HCP certification required. Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner through CARNA required.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Additional Required Qualifications: </strong></p> <p>Computer Literacy. Effective demonstrated communication ability (both written and verbal). Demonstrated team work ability. Flexibility and adaptability.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <p>Experience with acutely ill medical pulmonary patients is preferred. Narcotics prescriber ability is preferred.</p>
