Clinical Quality Resource Coordinator (RPN)

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Director, National Pharmacy Operations, the Clinical Quality Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing both internal operations and external partners with clinical support related to product inquiries, best practice in the community, infusion equipment troubleshooting, performing administrative tasks and is expected to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of our government contracts among other duties as required.

 

This is an administrative Clinical role with minimal to moderate travel involved requiring availability during business hours 9am-5:30pm Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required. This position requires effective communication with staff, customers, patients, and vendors in a diverse community.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Contracts team, Customer Service, Pharmacy, Warehouse and Inventory team with day-to-day product inquiries, concerns, complaints, etc.
  • Address and respond to emails, phone call, etc. from external parties (government agencies, nursing providers, patients, caregivers) in an effective and timely manner
  • Documents any complaint/product issue in Bayshore’s Quality Management System or other systems as required
  • Participate in both internal/external meetings. Take minutes as required
  • Travel as required for meetings and external training
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's missions and values
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
  • Assist in the creation and review of product catalogues, suggest alternative products as needed
  • Create training documents as required for internal/external use
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy and handles sensitive information with tact, diplomacy and compassion
  • Complete other tasks as requested

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse working in Ontario is required
  • Membership in good standing with regulatory body of Ontario
  • Previous experience working for or working with Ontario LHINs, Nursing Agency or other health care organization is required
  • Extensive product knowledge of infusion equipment and supplies, medical supplies, feeding equipment and supplies is required
  • Must be up-to-date and knowledgeable on best practices related to infusion and wound care pathways

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong Teamwork and Interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for off-site meetings
