Driver Medical Appraiser

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!  We are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a permanent, full-time Driver Medical Appraiser in Regina.  You will be responsible for the appraisal of medical information such as medical reports and driver ability assessment reports.  Using your knowledge of a broad range of medical and surgical conditions, treatments and patient responses, you will make the final decision whether drivers or applicants for a driver’s licence meet established medical standards and possess sufficient physical and mental abilities to hold various classes of drivers' licences.

 

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree/diploma in nursing, 5 years of related nursing experience, and must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.  Candidates will be required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of current medical and surgical conditions, treatments and patient responses to medical treatments, as well as some knowledge of the Traffic Safety Act and the functions of SGI.  Candidates must also demonstrate strong interpersonal, time management, analysis, and communication skills.
