Job Information

Reporting to the Territorial Manager, Quality and Best Practice, The Quality Risk Manager- Stanton is located in Yellowknife and is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the NTHSSA quality and saftey programs, maintaining a future-focused perspective to recommend and develop proactive safety and quality programs, and conduct in depth investigations into all patient safety incidents, critical incidents and ununsual occurrences at Stanton Territorial Hospital and supporting investigations in the rest of NTHSSA, Hay River and regions. 

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities   

  • knowledge of how to design and facilitate a change process, ability to build and work with groups and teams, planning and implementing change
  • knowledge of quality management, methodologies and legislation
  • knowledge of investigative processes and report writing
  • knowledge and ability to use a variety of intervention and prevention methods
  • ability to apply a high level of sensititivity in responding to and handling client concerns
  • organizational, time management, analytical, facilitation, and presentation skillsto manage multi- disciplinary responsibilities in a timely and effective matter

Typically attained by Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a Nursing or Allied Health and a minimum of seven years of work related experience in a health, or social services discipline is required, including a minimum of two years experience leading a team.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be in good standing with the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories  and Nunavut (RNANT/NU).

Registrations

Eligible for current registration/certification with the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is mandatory for this position.

The salary for this position starts at $52.22 per hour - $62.37 per hour (approximately $101,829.00 -$121,622.00 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.00.
