Assistant Teaching Professor / Associate Teaching Professor

We are seeking dynamic team players to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system. Currently, the School of Nursing offers BScN, MN, PN (Williams Lake only), and HCA programs.

The School of Nursing seeks applications for two (2) Bipartite tenure track positions with a potential start date of July 1, 2021. Preferred candidates will have advanced education or practice in mental health, maternity, or community health.


Responsibilities of a member with a Bipartite appointment shall include a combination of teaching in the BScN program , professional role and service.



  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
  • Master's degree with current practice and teaching experience may be considered;
  • Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing;
  • Five (5) years full time or equivalent hours nursing experience;
  • Evidence of continuous learning in the field of expertise;
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
  • Experience with simulation learning environments is asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system;
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment; and
  • Preference will be given to applicants with advanced education or practice in mental health, maternity, or community health.
