OPERATING ROOM REGISTERED NURSE

Are you an Operating Room Registered Nurse that wants to work in a rewarding team oriented environment? We are currently searching for Registered Nurses to work in the operating room at Battleford’s Union Hospital in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The City of North Battleford is in close proximity to numerous lakes and parks and offers a “small town” atmosphere with “big city” amenities.

Job Description:   The Perioperative trained Registered Nurse (RN ORT) is responsible for providing   patient care using established nursing process in accordance with SRNA, Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC ) and CSA standards. The RN ORT will demonstrate competence in both the circulating and scrub role and work within the multidisciplinary team to delivery high quality competent care. The nurse will utilize evidence based practice for best patient outcomes and will function as a patient advocate. 

Required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing; Perioperative Nursing Certification; Basic Life Support—Level C; Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA). 

 Bursary incentive/sponsorship is available for those interested in taking the Perioperative Nursing program with a return for service agreement.

STATUS: Permanent and Temporary Full-Time positions

Hours of Work: Days, 8 hour shifts and on call 

Rate of Pay: Pay Band $37.08 to $48.13 (6 Step Range) 

Union: SUN
