Prizes

Enter the NursingCareersCanada.ca Post Your Resumé and Win Draw (the “Draw”) by posting or updating your resumé on NursingCareersCanada.ca between November 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. Three entries will be randomly selected on February 1, 2021, to receive one of three e-gift card prizes of $150, $100 and $50.

Eligibility

The Draw is open to residents of Canada. You are not eligible if you are an employee or representative of the Canadian Nurses Association or NursingCareersCanada.ca (which is a product of the Canadian Nurses Association), or its respective affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, or a member of the immediate family or household of any such employee or representative. For these Draw Rules, “immediate family” means spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter.

How to Enter

The Draw begins on November 1, 2020, at 0:01 EST and ends on December 31, 2020, at 23:59 EST (the “Draw Period”).

To be automatically entered in the Draw, do either of the following:

  1. If you are not registered on NursingCareersCanada.ca, visit https://www.nursingcareerscanada.ca/register/, click “Register,” post your resumé and complete the registration process.
  2. If you are registered on NursingCareersCanada.ca, visit https://www.nursingcareerscanada.ca, sign in to your account and update your resumé.

If you do not wish to be entered in the Draw, send an email to NursingCareersCanada@cna-aiic.ca with “Remove my name from Post Your Resumé and Win Draw” in the subject line. You will then be removed from the Draw.

No purchase is necessary to enter the Draw. Registering on NursingCareersCanada.ca is free.

LIMIT: Participation in the Draw is limited to one (1) entry per person. Entrants who register or re-register more than once during the Draw Period may be disqualified.

The Draw Rules shall be met by CNA, unless exempted by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Random Selection of Winners

Three entries will be randomly selected on February 1, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. EST, to receive one of three e-gift card prizes of $150, $100 and $50. The three selected entrants will be drawn from all entries received during the Draw Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Draw Period. The draw will take place at the Canadian Nurses Association office in Ottawa.

Notification of Winners

Following the draw, emails will be sent to the three selected entrants at the email addresses specified in each person’s registration.

If a selected entrant cannot be contacted and confirmed a winner within four (4) weeks following the applicable draw date, the prize will be forfeited. The winners will be announced on this Draw Rules web page.

Release of Liability

The Canadian Nurses Association and the other Releasees (defined below) will not be responsible for (i) incomplete, late, lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, garbled or irregular entries, or for any entries not received or processed for any reason, including any technical or human error; (ii) any errors, omissions, incorrect or inaccurate information in these Draw Rules, other Draw-related information, including printing or advertising, and other equipment or programming associated with or used in the Draw; or (iii) any failure of the Internet or website at any time, problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, address providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email to be transmitted or received, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to an entrant’s computer or to any other individual’s computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Draw or accepting a prize.

Liability / Publicity Release

Before being declared the winner, the selected entrants may be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Draw Rules and Release of Liability confirming compliance with these Rules and releasing the Canadian Nurses Association and its respective affiliates, representatives and agents, including without limitation, their advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their respective employees, officers, directors, agents and assigns (the “Releasees”), from any and all liability attributable to the Draw or arising from the prize awarded in the Draw. Declaration and Release documents must be returned within four weeks of the applicable selection date or the prize will be forfeited.

By accepting a prize, winners’ consent to the use without payment of their name, address, photograph or other likeness, voice or statements in any publicity, advertising or promotion carried out by the Canadian Nurses Association or its advertising or promotional agencies, without further consideration.

Authorized Account Holder

If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered to be the authorized account holder. The entrant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.

Conduct

By entering the Draw, entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood these Draw Rules and agree to abide by them and all decisions of the Canadian Nurses Association, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Draw and the awarding of a prize. Entrants who have not complied with these Draw Rules are subject to disqualification.

The Canadian Nurses Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (a) violating the Draw Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Draw or the Draw’s website; or (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If the Canadian Nurses Association suspects that an entrant has acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, the entrant will be advised by email that the entrant has been disqualified. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DRAW OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS DRAW MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD ANY SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CANADIAN NURSES ASSOCIATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Miscellaneous

Subject to obtaining the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for the province of Quebec, the Canadian Nurses Association reserves the right to terminate, amend, suspend or reinstate the Draw at any time if any factor interferes with its proper administration as contemplated by these Draw Rules. If the Draw is terminated, the Canadian Nurses Association will publish a notice on the Nursing Careers Canada website and a random selection may be conducted from all entries received as at the date of termination. Entrants selected at random must be confirmed as winners as outlined above.

The prize is not transferable, must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at the sole discretion of the Canadian Nurses Association, which reserves the right to substitute the prize of equal or greater value if the prize cannot be awarded as described.

The prize will be sent within two weeks after a selected entrant is confirmed as the winner and submitted a Declaration of Compliance with the Draw Rules and Release of Liability. The Canadian Nurses Association is not responsible for loss or theft caused in the shipment or delivery of the prize to the winner.

All entries become the property of the Canadian Nurses Association and will not be returned. NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO EXCEPT WITH SELECTED ENTRANTS. YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS BEING COLLECTED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF AWARDING THE PRIZE.

The Draw is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.

For Quebec Residents

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity draw may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
