Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Nursing

Trinity Western University’s School of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track nursing faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. 

A nursing faculty in the TWU School of Nursing is part of a vibrant community of nurse-scholars committed to excellence in nursing education and spiritual-intellectual integration. This is an exciting period of growth, including expansion of the nursing skills and simulation lab. As a full-time member of this community, faculty teach in their area of expertise, engage in an active program of scholarship, practice in an area of clinical expertise (where relevant), and serve in various professional and academic capacities.

HOURS:  Full-time (tenure-track)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

•           Teach in undergraduate (BSN) and graduate (MSN) programs

•           Contribute to program evaluation and curriculum development

•           Maintain an active program of scholarship

•           Serve onSchoolofNursing, University, and other professional committees

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•           PhD in Nursing required (completed or in progress)

•           Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (or eligible for registration)

•           Established or emerging program of scholarship, including the scholarship of Christian integration.

•           Effective communication and interpersonal skills

 

PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

•           Teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels with positive student evaluations

•           Supervisory experience with graduate thesis committees   

•           Record of scholarship, including publications 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:  Reports to Dean, School of Nursing
