Clinical Nurse Educator

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Clinical Nurse Educator at Cowichan District Hospital.  

As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you have a passion for adult education and learning principles in a clinical setting. In this role, you support and facilitate staff nurses in the maternity/pediatrics department at Cowichan District Hospital. You act as a role model and provide leadership to promote a positive learning culture and advance professional nursing practice.

You will assess the learning needs of nursing staff and plan appropriate educational experiences and programs, as well as design educational strategies to support and change current practice.

Qualifications

You will have successfully completed a perinatal specialty education program, and a Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred. Additionally, we are looking for 3-5 years’ related experience, including two years of relevant clinical experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience). You have your current registration (or eligibility) with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). Recent clinical experience in the areas of labour and delivery, postpartum and pediatrics is required.
