Position: Senior Nurse Advisor, Certification and Professional Development

Role: The Senior Nurse Advisor of Certification and Professional Development (CPD) is responsible for the overall management of the certification and professional development programs. The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution and evaluation of the operations. The incumbent is responsible for developing program policy, monitoring key performance indicators and fostering collaboration with individual as well as national and international stakeholders. The Senior Nurse Advisor reports to and acts as a key resource for the Executive Lead, Certification and Professional Development.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse

Master’s degree in nursing, education, health administration or a related field

Bilingual (French and English)

Project management experience

Business acumen

• Minimum of five years of experience in managing large-scale programs/operations

• Be able to demonstrate recent experience in health care or education

• Be able to demonstrate recent leadership experience in health care and/or education

• Development, implementation and evaluation of innovative programs

• Ability to lead teams with diverse interests

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software

• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory issues in nursing

• Acumen in adult learning principles and program evaluation

• Superior leadership and communication skills

• Evidence of sound judgment and decision-making skills

• Understanding of legal and ethical issues related to the nursing profession

• Understanding of budgeting and financial statements
