Communicable Disease Control Nurse Manager

Are you an experienced nurse looking for a leadership role? Do you have extensive experience/ expertise in communicable disease control? Join Health Canada’s First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) as the Regional Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Nurse Manager!

 

You will be working with the Medical Officer of Health, leading a team of nurses working with Indigenous communities to promote and protect the health of community residents through the delivery of immunization, notifiable disease control, sexually transmitted infections and blood borne pathogens prevention, infection prevention and control, tuberculosis management, and infectious disease outbreak management. You will foster interdisciplinary partnerships within FNIHB, with First Nations community stakeholders, health professionals and other levels of government. You’ll have an opportunity to travel across Alberta to share your CDC expertise with diverse peoples and cultures in the First Nations communities.
